Farnborough Airshow Parking and Drop-Off: What the Show Asks Visitors to Do

In short: Farnborough Airshow parking is off-site: the show's travel page directs drivers to Queens Parade in Aldershot, with shuttle buses to the showground, and sends pre-booked taxis and private hire cars to a drop-off and pick-up zone there too. The show runs in even-numbered years, so check the current edition's travel page first.

The Farnborough International Airshow brings aerospace trade visitors, exhibitors and, on its public day, families and enthusiasts to the edge of Farnborough and Aldershot. Most of them cannot park at the showground. This guide sets out what the show’s own travel pages say about Farnborough Airshow parking, where pre-booked cars drop off, how to arrive by train, and where a chauffeur from Surrey fits in.

Where do you park for the Farnborough Airshow?

At the off-site car park, not at the showground. The show’s getting-here page names Queens Parade, Aldershot (GU11 2JL) as its visitor car park, reached by following the blue “P” signs, with shuttle buses running from there to Gate B. The organisers strongly recommend this car park and shuttle wherever possible.

For the 2026 public day the show also listed Rushmoor Arena Car Park (GU11 2FE) for drivers arriving from the south on the A323 or A325, with buses to Gate F. Car parks can change between editions, so check the official getting-here page for this year’s car parks, shuttle hours and any charge before you set off.

Can a pre-booked taxi or chauffeur drop you at the gate?

No, not at the 2026 show. Its travel page says only approved local taxis with the correct permits may use the council-run rank near Gate A, and that pre-booked taxis are not permitted to drop off there. Pre-booked taxis, minicabs and app-booked cars are directed instead to a designated drop-off and pick-up zone at Queens Parade, with a shuttle bus on to the show.

A chauffeur booked in advance is a pre-booked car, so the same arrangement applies. We follow the show’s published arrangements rather than promising a drop at the gate.

When is the Farnborough Airshow, and which days are public?

The airshow runs every two years, in even-numbered years. The 2026 edition ran from Monday 20 to Friday 24 July: trade visitors could attend Monday to Friday, while the Friday, called Pioneers of Tomorrow, was the single public day. The show’s website already promotes FIA2028 as the next edition.

Dates for 2028 and the split of trade and public days are for the organisers to announce. The official FAQs are the place to confirm them before you book any travel.

Which station should you use for the airshow?

The show recommends Farnborough Main, describing it as the primary station for the event, with more frequent services and the fastest route from London Waterloo. North Camp, served by regional trains between Reading and Guildford, and Aldershot, with links to Waterloo, Guildford and Alton, are the alternatives. Shuttle buses run from all three stations to Gate B.

From west Surrey that makes rail a real option: the show’s own page lists Guildford connections for both North Camp and Aldershot. Check the shuttle hours for your edition, because the last bus back to the station sets your latest finish.

How do you drive to the airshow, and what is the traffic like?

Via the M3. The show tells drivers to leave at Junction 4 or 4a and follow the signs to Farnborough, and names the A31 and A331 as other main approaches. It warns of high traffic volumes during the event and asks visitors to allow extra time, with AA signs and traffic marshals directing cars to the right parking areas.

In practice, head for the car park or drop-off postcode rather than the showground itself, and follow the yellow AA signs once you are close. Leave earlier than a normal weekday trip to Farnborough would suggest.

What if you or a guest has a blue badge?

At the 2026 show, blue badge holders could park on site. The show’s travel page directs them to Car Park 6, following the blue badge AA signage to Gate F, with a shuttle service into the showground. It adds that all its car parks are served by accessible shuttle buses and that mobility scooters are welcome on site.

If a guest with limited mobility is travelling by chauffeur rather than driving, tell us when you book, and check the current accessibility guidance on the show’s website so the drop-off plan matches what the show allows.

How does a chauffeur drop-off and collection work?

Your driver takes you to the designated drop-off and pick-up zone at Queens Parade, you take the shuttle to the show, and at the end of the day you ride it back to the same zone, where your collection is booked to meet you. Nobody in the group has to find a space, and nobody has to drive home after a long day on your feet.

XLNC Cars is based in Woking, and the showground sits beside Farnborough Airport, a short run from our Camberley chauffeur and Farnham chauffeur areas. Every fare is fixed before travel, in a Standard Saloon, Executive, VIP or Minibus. Trade visitors with meetings elsewhere the same day can hire a driver for a day and keep one car from first pickup to the drive home, and guests flying in privately are covered by our Farnborough Airport transfers.

What should you check before airshow day?

Confirm three things a week or so out: the edition’s dates and which day your ticket covers; the current getting-here page for car parks, the pre-booked drop-off zone and shuttle hours; and a realistic finish time, so the collection is not waiting on a shuttle queue.

For the rest of the year the same team provides chauffeur hire across Surrey. To arrange an airshow drop-off and collection, contact us with your ticket day, pickup address, group size and the time you expect to leave.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Farnborough Airshow open to the public every day?

No. At the 2026 show, Monday to Friday were trade days and only the Friday, called Pioneers of Tomorrow, was open to the public. The format for the next edition is for the organisers to confirm, so check the official FAQs before booking travel.

Can I buy an airshow ticket on the day?

For 2026 the show said public Friday tickets had sold out and were not sold on the gate. Arrangements may differ at the next edition, but it is safer to have your ticket confirmed before you book travel to Farnborough.

Can you collect us from the airshow at the end of the day?

Yes. We time the collection to when you expect to leave, and meet you at the pick-up zone the show designates for pre-booked cars. Allow for the shuttle ride back from the showground when you tell us your finish time.

Where do exhibitors park at the Farnborough Airshow?

Exhibitors have their own access rules, published on the show's getting-here page, including which gate to use during build-up and how on-site parking works during the show. These change with each edition, so check the current version rather than last show's instructions.

Can a group of colleagues travel together to the airshow?

Yes. The Minibus carries up to eight passengers with luggage, so a team of trade visitors can arrive together and leave together. Smaller groups usually fit an Executive or VIP car. The drop-off follows the same pre-booked car arrangements either way.

How early should we leave Surrey on airshow day?

Earlier than a normal trip to Farnborough would suggest. The show warns of high traffic volumes, and the drop-off zone adds a shuttle ride before you reach the gate. When you book, we agree the pickup time with you around your first meeting or display.

What postcode does the driver use for the airshow drop-off?

The show gives Queens Parade, Aldershot, GU11 2JL, for its off-site car park and says pre-booked cars are directed to the drop-off and pick-up zone at Queens Parade. We check the current edition's travel page before the day in case anything has changed.
